The Peanut Corporation of America is in bankruptcy proceedings. As a result, they will no longer be able to communicate with customers concerning recalled products. From this point on, customers will need to contact FDA recall coordinators to get information on how to handle the recalled products.
The FDA has compiled a listing of all human and pet food recalled since January 2009 related to peanut products distributed by Peanut Corporation of America. The list contains 3,916 entries, and is searchable by product name, UPC code or product description. You can also browse by category and product name, and download the list in XML or PDF format. The list also provides a link to contact information for FDA recall coordinators, listed by state.
Note on the listing states, “This list includes human and pet food subject to recall in the United States since January 2009 related to peanut products distributed by Peanut Corporation of America. This list will be updated as new information is received. The information is current as of the date indicated. Once included, all human and pet food recalls will remain listed. If we learn that any information is not accurate, we will revise the list as soon as possible. When available, this database also includes photos of recalled human and pet food products that have been voluntarily submitted by recalling firms to the FDA to assist the public in identifying those products that are subject to recall.”
